Faithless Town w/ Ethan & the Ewox, Thomas Wynn & the Believers, and Nobody’s Darlings will be playing on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Vinyl from 8:00pm –12:00am, Admission is $5 in advance/$8 day of the show. Faithless Town makes classic roots rock that recalls The Stones, The Doors and Counting Crows. Thomas Wynn’s voice is a mix of southern soul and blues that’s backed by a tight band that plays blistering rock. On the other hand, Nobody’s Darlings style has been described as a liquid sound that combines the liking of pop and harder rock & roll. Ethan & the Ewox’s sound is a hybrid of southern rock and funk fused with swampy blues and contemporary folk and soul.

Ethan & the Ewox are described as having a sound that occupies a distinctive space in the music world. They have opened for major artists such as The Dave Matthews Band and Shawn Mullins. Their style of music is a hybrid of southern rock, folk and fusion. They performed at the Jazz Music Fest in which they were chosen as the number one band by New Orleans’ WWOZ. They debuted at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 2003 on the main stage opening for Los Lobos, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and Ben Harper.
